Historic Plains Hotel
History Renewed

About Me

Cheyenne, Wyoming, United States
The Plains Hotel opened in 1911 as Cheyenne, Wyoming's premiere full service hotel. The hotel rests gracefully in the heart of downtown Cheyenne and has been recently renovated. A remarkable stained glass skylight hovers above the two-story lobby representing each of the planets surrounded by quotes engraved in the crown molding such as, "Nothing but the best." This quote was the inspiration for the hotel's detailing. The hotel was renovated in 2002 inspired by Molesworth craftsmanship. The Plains Hotel's renovation has renewed its former glory and continues to set the standard for Western Hospitality in "The Magic City by the Plains".

2008 Bridal Fair

The Plains Hotel co-hosted the 2008 Bridal Fair with the Cheyenne Depot. Several vendors displayed several ideas and options for wedding arrangments and accomodations. See our pictures below and keep us in mind for next year's event!

Vendors from Scottsbluff displayed several gorgeous bridal gowns for this year's event. They are shown to the left as well as throughout this posting. Hopefully their company will soon be expanding into the Cheyenne market!
Our Catering Manager, Trudi, just finished setting up the Historic Plains Hotel presentation at the Historic Cheyenne Depot displaying wedding options at our hotel.

This is Connie, our brilliant Director of Catering at the Historic Plains Hotel. She and Trudi will both assist you for all your upcoming wedding arrangements.

Underwood Flowers displayed many floral arrangment options for weddings at the Depot to the left. Our sales Manager, Bobbie, presents a wedding ettiquette class. She would be happy to take care of any group accomodations you might need for your event at the hotel.

To the left, the Wyoming Healthy Marriage initiative displays information regarding successful marriages.

Below: the Grand Prize Bouqet Toss overlooking our beautiful lobby. The Grand Prize includes overnight accomodations, dinner and breakfast for two, champagne and chocolate covered strawberries donated by the Historic Plains Hotel.
